Passengers hurt in Montgomery County bus crash

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

GARRETT PARK, Md. — A crash involving a Montgomery County RideOn bus left several passengers hurt Thursday morning. The crash investigation has closed Strathmore Avenue between Stillwater Avenue and Flanders Avenue Garrett Park.

Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County fire department said the crash happened around 7 a.m. in the 4900 block of Strathmore Avenue. Fire crews responded to a crash involving a bus with passengers on board.

According to Piringer, several patients were being evaluated on scene for injuries described as not life-threatening. 

Details surrounding the crash, and circumstances leading up to it, are not yet known.
