WASHINGTON — Virginia State Police officers are investigating a shooting they say happened Sunday evening on a highway in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Police received a call around 5:10 p.m. about a person shooting at multiple cars while traveling north on Interstate 495 near Exit 52 (Little River Turnpike) and continuing to travel north on I-495.
Officials say northbound travel lanes were closed temporarily for police to search for evidence related to the incident. Police have not released any additional information about this case. This is an ongoing investigation.
