Police search for 13-year-old girl missing from DC since Sunday

WASHINGTON — DC Police are asking for the public's help to find a 13-year-old girl who has not been seen since Sunday. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are not known. 

According to police, Invy Carpenter was last seen in the 900 block of 12th Street Northeast Sunday afternoon around 4:40 p.m. 

She is described as about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 130 pounds with brown and blonde hair and brown eyes. Police did not offer a clothing description, but said she is possibly wearing New Balance sneakers. Anyone who may recognize Invy is asked to call police right away. She is considered critically missing because of her age.
