Police search for person that shot a girl in Seat Pleasant

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Police in Seat Pleasant are investigating a shooting that sent a girl to the hospital. 

Calls came in Monday evening for reports of a shooting in the 500 block of 69th Place. When officers arrived, they found a girl with gunshot wounds along her upper body. 

First responders took her to a local hospital in critical condition. Police have not said what led up to the shooting at this time. 

This is an active investigation. We have sent a crew to the scene to try and gather more information.
