Reacher” got an early Season 4 renewal at Amazon Prime Video.

In the announcement, the streamer confirmed that the third season of the action crime series will debut sometime in 2025.

In Season 3 — which is based on the seventh book in Lee Child’s bestselling “Jack Reacher” series, titled “Persuader” — Alan Ritchson‘s hulking vigilante goes undercover to rescue an informant held by an enemy from his past.

As previously announced, Maria Sten will return for Season 3 alongside Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters.

The news comes a week after Prime Video announced a “Reacher” spinoff starring Sten. “The Untitled Neagley Project,” as the show is referred to in a press release, focuses on Sten’s Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Jack Reacher’s circle.

The spinoff’s synopsis reads: “When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”

Season 2 of “Reacher” was the most-viewed 2023 release on Prime Video, according to Amazon.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and CBS Studios. Based on the novels by Child, who is an executive producer on the show, “Reacher” is written for television by Nick Santora, who is also the showrunner and executive producer. Other EPs include Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan and Mick Betancourt, as well as David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives-in-charge of the series for Skydance Television.

“‘Reacher’ has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance and CBS Studios.”
