Reasonable Doubt” has been renewed for Season 3 at Hulu, Variety has learned.

The legal drama series airs under the Onyx Collective brand at the Disney-backed streaming service and was the first scripted show to launch under that brand. Season 2 of the show wrapped up in October after premiering in August, while the first season originally debuted on Hulu in 2022.

Emayatzy Corinealdi leads the series as Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart, who is described as “a Los Angeles-based high-powered criminal defense attorney, as she deals with past traumas, a struggling marriage, motherhood and a murder case, all while trying to keep her life together.”

Along with Corinealdi, the cast of the series includes McKinley Freeman, Morris Chestnut, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Thaddeus J. Mixson, and Aderinsola Olabode.

“Reasonable Doubt” was created by Raamla Mohamed, who also serves as an executive producer. Kerry Washington executiveproduces along with Pilar Savone for Simpson Street, with Larry Wilmore executive producing via Wilmore Films. Anton Cropper is also an executive producer on the series. The series hails from Onyx Collective and is produced by 20th Television. It was formerly produced by ABC Signature, but that studio was recently folded into 20th TV in a cost-cutting move by Disney.

“Reasonable Doubt” is currently one of just two scripted shows under the Onyx Collective brand, following the recent cancellation of “UnPrisoned” after two seasons. Onyx Collective recently debuted the comedy series “How to Die Alone” starring Natasha Rothwell, with that show still awaiting word on a second season pickup.
