WASHINGTON — Several women in a Northwest DC neighborhood say a strange man has been following them and peeking through their home windows.

Jennifer Schaus is one of several women who say a man has been terrorizing them in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood for weeks.

WUSA9 blurred his face, since no one has been named a suspect or charged for any crime.

Schaus told WUSA9 the man followed her twice, last week near the 2500 block of K street, and she saw him twice again over the weekend.

Another woman on Reddit claims the same man chased her near the Water Gate shops. Schauss said one of her neighbors caught the man peeking through her window Monday afternoon. Last week, another one of her neighbors also caught the same man peeking through her first floor apartment window.

Advisory neighborhood commissioner, Trupti Patel says there have been at least five women who have allegedly been followed by the same man. She said the man has been seen near Columbia Plaza, Foggy Bottom and Georgetown neighborhoods.

Thankfully, no one has been injured. However, residents fear things could escalate. Patel told WUSA9 she’s expressed to DC police the urgency in finding a solution.

“This individual has been repeating patterns and behaviors that are very disturbing. I don’t want to see this lead to an incident where someone is physically assaulted or there is an altercation involving this individual.” Patel said.

Meanwhile, residents tell WUSA9 added patrolling would bring a sense of ease. DC police say the incidents are still under investigation. If you see the man don’t approach him or confront him. Call police right away and file a police report.
