Rioters set a tram on fire in the Dutch city of Amsterdam on Monday, several days after an antisemitic mob attacked fans of an Israeli football club.
Police said that disturbances started around 9:15 pm local time on the ‘40-’45 square in the northwestern part of the city.
According to local media, several dozen rioters launched fireworks and threw stones at the officers, as well as pelted cars and buses with stones. At one point, they set a tram on fire.
The rioters were heard shouting antisemitic slogans, the public broadcaster NOS said.
"Cancer Jews" they yelled, setting a tram on fire in Amsterdam. But you can clearly see the tram had provoked them with its Zionist blue-white coloration, and probably by running over a Palestinian flag as well. Had it coming. 🍉 pic.twitter.com/AJJxbUfTQn
