Sabrina Carpenter Just Made A Seriously Subtle Tweak To The “Please Please Please” Music Video That Seemingly Hits Back At Speculation She And Barry Keoghan Have Split

On Friday, Instagram gossip blog Deux Moi reposted an anonymous source who claimed that singer Sabrina Carpenter and Irish actor Barry Keoghan had broken up.

It is thought that the two first met at a fashion show last year, and they have been romantically linked since December.

Sabrina and Barry went public with their relationship in February, when they attended a Grammys afterparty together, and have gone from strength to strength ever since.

But fans feared that it was curtains for the couple when Deux Moi shared the unverified report last week, with a source later telling People that Sabrina and Barry’s relationship is generally “on and off.”

Neither Barry nor Sabrina have actively acknowledged the speculation, but they have both offered reassurance to their followers by sharing subtle signs that the rumor may not be true.

While both the original and the new thumbnail feature Sabrina wearing a red dress in the forefront of the shot, it has been changed so that Barry is undeniably visible behind her.

Sharing the before-and-after, the update account wrote: “The thumbnail for the “Please Please Please” music video by @SabrinaAnnLynn was slightly changed on Youtube,” and the post immediately went viral as people reacted to the timing.

One popular quote tweet, which has been liked more than 52,000 times, reads: “just to have barry in the thumbnail after all the breakup rumors i’m crying she’s hilarious.”

Despite both Sabrina and Barry’s understated hints, Deux Moi doubled down on the claim that they have split on Tuesday.

Needless to say, BuzzFeed has contacted Sabrina and Barry’s reps for comment — but their online activity suggests that Deux Moi may have missed the mark on this one.
