DC Police has lifted some of the road closures around Howard University, Wednesday evening.
WASHINGTON — DC Police has lifted some of the road closures around Howard University.
The road closures were put in place ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris' watch party hosted at the university. On Wednesday, CBS News reported Donald Trump as the next president elect.
Since Harris has officially conceded, police have lifted some of the closures around the campus.
Just two hours after Harris' speech at Howard Wednesday afternoon, MPD announced on its X account, formerly known as Twitter that:
Georgia Avenue between Harvard Street and V Street, NW, and all road closures WEST of Georgia Avenue NW are now OPEN.
All remaining road closures will remain in effect until further notice.
