The Boston Celtics are working on a trade to acquire Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis in a three-team deal that would send Malcolm Brogdon to the LA Clippers, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.

The Clippers would be sending Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey and the 30th pick in Thursday's draft to Washington. Boston's Danilo Gallinari would also be dealt to the Wizards, sources said. Sides still have more work to do on an agreement.

Porzingis would opt in on his $36 million contract for next season to make the potential trade happen, but there are still outstanding issues to be resolved before a deal can be reached.

Porzingis, who turns 28 in August, averaged a career-high 23.2 points per game last season. Porzingis, drafted by the Knicks, was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2019 and then acquired in February 2022 by the Wizards.

Brogdon exclusively played off the bench in Boston in 2022-23 and averaged 14.9 points and 3.7 assists per game. Morris, 33, averaged 11.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with the Clippers last season and is owed $17.1 million next season.
