Sources: Heat's Herro to attempt return for G5

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro was upgraded to questionable for Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday and is expected to attempt to play, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Herro has been out since April 16, when he broke his right hand in Game 1 of the Heat's first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The hope is that Herro doesn't suffer a setback ahead of Monday's game and can still manage the discomfort in his right hand, sources said. The Heat face elimination with the Denver Nuggets up 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Herro averaged 20.1 points and 4.2 assists for Miami in the regular season.
