WASHINGTON — A 2-year-old French Bulldog, named Yurman, has been reunited with his owner after he was stolen at gunpoint last Saturday.

The dog's owner, Jaineen Brown, told police that the thief pulled out a gun, demanded her dog, then fled the scene in a car on Fort Davis Street, SE.

DC Police announced today that Yurman was recovered by members of MPD’s Violent Crimes Suppression Division, according to a post on X, formerly Twitter.

In the post, Yurman and Brown are pictured in an emotional reunion, while the two pose with members of the MPD. Everyone appearing to smile from ear to ear.

No suspects have been identified in the theft case, but police said Yurman is now safe at home with his owner.
