"Sunny Likes To Make It Personal With Me": Sunny Hostin And Alyssa Farah Got In A Fight On "The View"

1 year ago 4

For those of you who don't know, Alyssa used to work under the Trump administration as the White House Director of Strategic Communications until 2019. She was then the youngest-ever Press Secretary at The Pentagon.

And Sunny is a no-nonsense former prosecutor and renowned pundit who always comes with facts and research. Basically, they're both forces in daytime TV.

While the panel was discussing the prospect of former Vice President Mike Pence running for president, Alyssa said she still needs to hear what Pence is going to spearhead.

"What scares me, Alyssa, is that you are incapable of defending a man that you worked for — you said you 'Need to hear more from him.'"

"I don't need to hear more from Pence," Sunny stated.

"You just accused me of something, so why don't you let me answer," Alyssa said.

"Nope, I'm gonna finish what I'm gonna say," Sunny replied. Sunny then listed her issues with Pence — his mishandling of the AIDS crisis, the COVID crisis, and his relationship with former President Donald Trump.

Joy Behar then chimed in telling Sunny not to bring up Alyssa's work history and "make things personal."

"Sunny likes to make it personal with me," Alyssa said. "Are you gonna give me the chance to answer or no?" She turned to the audience, dumbfounded. "This is not what the show is about — let a woman speak."

Sunny replied, "It's everybody's 'view,'" to which Alyssa replied, "It's not everyone's 'view,' it's Sunny Hostin's 'view.'"

Sunny continued to speak, as Joy urged her to let Alyssa chime in.

Ultimately, the back-and-forth spat was halted by Whoopi Goldberg, who went to commercial break.
