Although the audition seemed to be a little rocky, Sara did make it to Hollywood because Katy and Luke Bryan voted "yes."

Sara herself took to TikTok to make a video about the whole encounter. "At the start of my audition — before I sang — I mentioned that I had three children and was a young mother, and Katy Perry made a joke that wasn't super kind," Sara said.

"I don’t have too much to say on my feelings about it because it’s probably pretty self-explanatory,” Sara added. “It was embarrassing to have that on TV. And it was hurtful and, you know, that’s that."

"I did want to take this opportunity to say that I think that women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool, and I think that mom-shaming is super lame."

Well on this week's Idol, Sara expressed that she has issues with confidence, even explaining that she's never done anything in show business. "I don't feel like I fit the mold," she said.

After performing "Roxanne" by The Police, Sara told the judges, "This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually going to be my last performance, because my heart’s at home. So, I’m going get home to my babies. They kind of need me."

The judges did try and convince her to stay, but ultimately, Sara decided to go home.
