‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’ Original Soundtrack Gets a Limited Edition Nine-Disc Release

The score for one of the best games and game scores of 2023 is getting a massive physical release. “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” original soundtrack is available for purchase on Friday, August 9.

Imported from Japan and ready for pre-order for $193.99 (about $21.55 per disc), the “Tears of the Kingdom” score comes in a limited edition 9-disc set and features 344 songs — including “Temple of Time” (Sky), “Tarrey Town,” “Dragon Theme,” “Middle Boss Zora” (Yona’s Theme) and others — spread over more than 11 hours of music.

In addition, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” Original Soundtrack comes with a USB-A thumb-drive that’s shaped like the Master Sword from the game, which includes a high-resolution digital copy of the score that’s mixed in 5.1-channel surround sound.

Everything comes presented in a three-sided luxury box with tall size digipak with the Sky Islands on the outer box and the green sealing hand symbol on the inner box.

Composed by Hajime Wakai, Manaka Kataoka, Maasa Miyoshi, Masato Ohashi and Tsukasa Usui, the score for “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” was nominated for numerous awards, such as The Game Awards, New York Game Awards and British Academy Games Awards.

The score is renowned for its atmospheric design, simplicity and playfulness that sets the perfect tone as Link explores Hyrule, Sky Island and The Depths to find Princess Zelda throughout time.

In the meantime, you can also pick up the game itself for the Nintendo Switch, which is on sale for $58.99, or $11 off its list price, from the retail giant.
