ARLINGTON, Va. — Arlington County Police are investigating another smash and grab at Pentagon City Mall.
Video used in this article was taken from the September 1 robbery.
On Saturday, police were called to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City at 5:40 p.m. for reports of possible shots fired. A preliminary investigation says, four suspects went inside of a store located in the mall and deployed a fire extinguisher, then smashed the display cases with hammers.
The four thieves stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry from the store, then took off running towards the parking garage. Police say, they got inside of a black sedan and drove off.
No one was injured during the robbery and a shooting did not occur. The thieves were described as thin build, between the ages of 15 and 18-years-old, 5-foot-8, wearing black hoodies and ski masks.
This is the second time in a little over a month the Pentagon City Mall was robbed. On September 1, police swarmed the mall for the same crime committed in the same manner. Police were searching for three young teens last month, as well.
Police have not indicated that these robberies are connected. They also have not made an arrest in either case. The investigation is ongoing.
