The summer transfer window is open! Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Newcastle close to deal for Guéhi

Newcastle United are edging closer to securing a deal for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi, reveals Sky Sports.

Following an impressive European Championship campaign with England, Guéhi has attracted the attention of the Magpies, but a move has yet to materialise.

Even though Newcastle have chased a deal for Guéhi for large parts of the summer, seeing several approaches rejected by Palace in the process, the south London club have remained committed to the England international.

However, it is reported that Palace officials have privately agreed that it would be "beneficial" to part ways with the 24-year-old this summer, with the report revealing that a fee of £65 million, plus add-ons, should suffice to see the deal completed.

The report suggests that Newcastle previously saw an approach of £60m plus £5m in add-ons rejected by Palace, but optimism has grown within the club that a deal can be struck, as the transfer window nears its conclusion.

Guéhi is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2026, however, if Palace do not part ways with the defender this summer, their bargaining position becomes considerably weaker next summer, when Guéhi will have one year remaining on his contract.

PAPER GOSSIP

- Juventus have approached Manchester United for winger Jadon Sancho, according to RMC Sport. The 24-year-old looked certain to depart Old Trafford, following a breakdown in the relationship with manager Erik ten Hag, however the United manager revealed that he had "drawn a line and moved on" earlier this summer. It is reported that alongside Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain have also shown an interest in Sancho. The report reveals that Sancho has been interested in the prospect of joining the French giants, however a move has not yet materialised, which opens up the door for Juventus to strike.

- Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the race to strike a deal for Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha, reports The Sun. After allowing Pedro Neto to join Chelsea, Wolves are in the market for a replacement and have reportedly identified Zaha as an option. The report suggests that Wolves may look to secure a loan deal for Zaha, which includes the possibility of making the deal permanent. However, it is also reported that Crystal Palace also hold an interest in Zaha, with the Eagles potentially looking to reunite with the 31-year-old this summer.

- Southampton are interested in landing a loan deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, per Sky Sports. The 26-year-old will be allowed to depart the north London side before the conclusion of the transfer window, although they are understood to prefer to offload the shot-stopper permanently. However, the report reveals that the Gunners would be open to a loan departure, with an obligation to make this permanent. Ramsdale lost his starting position to David Raya last season and has been reported to be eager to leave the club to secure more regular first-team football.

- Al Ahli have given Brentford striker Ivan Toney a deadline to confirm whether he will join the Saudi side, reports Ben Jacobs. With the Saudi Pro League transfer window closing on Sept. 2, it is reported that Al Ahli have told the England international that they need to be informed of his decision by Monday, so they can pursue other strikers should Toney reject their proposal. The tweet indicates that the England international has been offered a three-year deal by Al Ahli, however he has not yet given the green light to the move.

- Arsenal have agreed a deal with Deportivo La Coruña that will see the Spanish club land midfielder Charlie Patino, reports Fabrizio Romano. The 20-year-old has endured two previous loan spells, with Blackpool and Swansea City, however the tweet indicates that the Hale End graduate is ready for a new challenge in Spain. It is reported that the deal is worth €1m, however, there is a "significant" sell-on clause included.
