A 70-year-old man was found stabbed to death.
WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding and identifying a person of interest in connection to a deadly stabbing in Southeast D.C.
On Sept. 10, just before 4 a.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a crash on Livingston Road. Once there, officers found an unoccupied car on the sidewalk and a man lying in the roadway dead. Investigators say he appeared to be stabbed.
He has been identified as 70-year-old Johnathan Reeves of Upper Marlboro.
A person of interest in connection to the shooting was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the video below.
Police have not said what led up in the moments before the stabbing nor identified a motive behind it. It is unclear if the person of interest and victim were known to each other.
