We Checked In On The Couples From "The Ultimatum: Queer Love" To Find Out Who's Still Together And Who's Not

1 year ago 8

The season finale and reunion of The Ultimatum: Queer Love aired last week, but the show was actually filmed almost two years ago. So, a LOT has changed since the ultimatums were first issued — and even since the reunion, which filmed this past January.

In case you're not familiar with the show, you might want to pause reading to avoid spoilers and go back and watch. Basically, this season features all queer couples on the verge of marriage, with one of them issuing an ultimatum to put a ring on it or break up.

So, let's see what everyone's up to.

We begin with Aussie Chau and Sam Mark. Who issued the ultimatum? Sam. Status: Engaged.

The couple also reactivated their shared Instagram account, Keepitsaussie, and let fans know they are looking forward to sharing more content together soon (and hopefully updates on their marriage plans).

Next up: Rae Cheung-Sutton and Lexi Goldberg. Who issued the ultimatum? Lexi. Status: VERY broken up.

ICYMI, Rae partnered up with Vanessa, despite Lexi making it very clear that she did not approve of Rae's choice. Then, "Fingergate" ensued after Vanessa and Rae had sex in their trial marriage.

Now, Lexi's new career ventures include an active account on OnlyFans, and she just debuted her new girlfriend on social media:

And Rae makes actually *really funny* TikToks rehashing her experience on the show:

Next up on the roster: Vanessa Papa and Xander Boger. Who issued the ultimatum? Xander. Status: Not together, no engagement, AND they broke up on the show.

When it came time for Vanessa and Xander's trial marriage, Xander couldn't keep Yoly out of their mind and ultimately nixed their ultimatum and broke up with Vanessa on decision day.

Xander and Vanessa didn't talk thereafter, but they had an emotional onscreen reconciliation at the reunion.

In her latest Instagram post, Vanessa said she has not posted much about the show because "it was one of the lowest points" of her life and it’s "been very difficult to re-live years later." However, she said she does have good memories too and will share them after she has "some time to recoup."

Xander's still living in Hawaii and offering "preventative therapy" treatments for the "mind and body." She also posted some self-help books that have helped her through life after the show:

Moving on to Xander's trial partner, Yoly Rojas, and Yoly's original partner, Mal Wright. Who issued the ultimatum? Yoly. Status: Left the show engaged, not together at the reunion, and definitely broken up.

On ultimatum day, Yoly tearfully accepted an engagement with Mal to work things out, but she had an emotional goodbye with Xander that kinda made us feel like something was definitely still there:

At the reunion, Mal announced they were "happily broken up" and that they had split nearly two weeks after the show.

As for Yoly and Xander, Yoly said, "We stayed in communication some and we saw each other while we were at Coachella." But as of right now, they are not together. "We were in each other's journey for a little bit, and now we are back to doing our own stuff," Xander said.

Post-reunion, in an Instagram video answering unanswered questions, Yoly said that she still checks in with both Xander and Mal despite not being together. She revealed she is not dating anyone but herself and is "actively single."

As for Mal, she told Tudum her "current relationship status is staying hydrated and minding my business."

Lastly, Mildred Woody and Tiff Der. Who issued the ultimatum? Mildred. Status: Engaged on the show, broken up by the reunion.

The couple agreed to work out their toxic communication problems and got engaged on ultimatum day. But things had a rocky end — at the reunion, it was revealed that Mildred threw a dog gate at Tiff and Mildred was arrested. Mildred then made a host of accusations against Tiff, and Tiff left the taping in an emotional exit.

Since filming, Tiff has opened up to share their side of the story.
