Donna Gulino was traveling southbound along Richmond Hwy and tried to make a left turn onto Lukens Lane in her Cadillac.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred in Woodlawn.
On July 3, officers responded to the 8600 block of Richmond Highway around 4:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation showed Donna Gulino was traveling southbound along Richmond Highway and tried to make a left turn onto Lukens Lane in her Cadillac.
A driver traveling northbound on Richmond Hwy in a Mini Cooper hit Gulino's car at the intersection. Both Gulino and the driver of the Mini Cooper were taken to a hospital. On Tuesday, officers with the Fairfax County Police Department were notified that Gulino passed away from her injuries.
It is unclear what caused the accident. Officers say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Officials have not said if the driver of the Mini Cooper will face any charges in connection to Gulino's death.
