FAIRFAX, Va. — Police are on the scene of what they are calling a "domestic-related shooting" in Franconia Friday night.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the shooting happened in the 5900 block of Saint Giles Way.

Investigators say a man and a woman got into an argument and the woman walked away, going inside a home. That is when police say the man took out a gun and shot into the house. The bullet grazed the woman in the head. She was taken to an area hospital and treated for a minor laceration.

Police know the suspect, who has reportedly contained himself inside the home. Officers are still on scene working to resolve the situation and say there is no threat to the surrounding community at this time.
