WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting at the Anacostia Metro Station that left a woman hurt Tuesday night.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. at the metro station on Howard Road in Southeast D.C.
Very little is known regarding the shooting at this time, but police say that the woman was grazed in the head by a bullet. She was conscious and breathing when first responders took her to an area hospital.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
There is no word on any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
