Louisa County Sheriff’s Office did say that they have been searching for someone since earlier this spring, who is believed to have possibly drowned further up-lake
LOUISA COUNTY, Va. — A woman’s body was recovered from Lake Anna Saturday afternoon.
On June 29, at 2:15 p.m. the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office received calls of a body floating in the waters in Spotsylvania County. When officials arrived, they had the body removed from the water.
Officers have not released any information regarding the victim other than her gender. Her name and age are still unknown. However, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office did say in a press release that they have been searching for someone since earlier this spring, who is believed to have possibly drowned further up-lake.
The victim’s body was taken to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and provide a definitive I.D. for the woman. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 540-967-1234.
