GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A 17-year-old was in a Gaithersburg hospital Thursday night after he was hurt in a shooting, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
After the teen was shot at around 5 p.m., police arrested three suspects who apparently led officers on a chase through part of the city. The shooting happened in the 7900 block of Spiceberry Circle.
"Officers pursued the suspects to the area of Longdraft Road and Clopper Road, where the suspects bailed out of their vehicle," MCPD said on Thursday. "After a foot pursuit, all three suspects were apprehended and taken into custody."
Montgomery County Police said Thursday the teen had "non-life-threatening injuries."
Details surrounding what led up to the shooting have not been released at this time. At this time we don't know the age of the suspects or what their charges are.
