33-year-old man shot, killed in Landover

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

GREATER LANDOVER, Md. — A man is dead after a shooting in Landover Thursday evening, leaving police searching for the person who pulled the trigger.

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to Kent Town Place, off of Landover Road, around 5:15 p.m. after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, a man was found outside with gunshot wounds. 

The man, identified as 33-year-old Michael Thomas, was taken to a hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead. 

Detectives are working to identify the shooter in he case as well as a motive behind the deadly encounter. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
