Police are still investigating exactly what happened.
LARGO, Md. — Police are still investigating how a vehicle ended up driving through the entrance of the University of Maryland Capital Regional Medical Center in Largo Thursday evening. The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Police responded to the scene and found a vehicle had gone through the glass entrance to the emergency department.
Police say no serious injuries were reported. According to a hospital spokesperson, no staff members, patients or visitors were hurt in the crash.
A spokesperson says the hospitals routine operations were not impacted by the crash. The emergency department remains open. The entrance was boarded up by Friday morning.
