“I Have No Idea How We’ve Managed To Keep It Secret”: Ryan Reynolds Teased Surprise Cameos In “Deadpool & Wolverine” After Those Taylor Swift Rumors

2 months ago 4

If there wasn’t already enough excitement for Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds just teased some surprise cameos — and it sounds like Marvel fans are in for a treat.

Along with Ryan starring as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman joining the MCU as Wolverine, there’s been a lot of chatter about what other famous faces might appear in the upcoming movie. And the speculation ramped up last week when a new trailer provided a first look at Lady Deadpool.

One peek at the character’s blonde hair and fans quickly speculated that Ryan’s wife, Blake Lively, might have stepped into the suit.

The other person in the Lady Deadpool conversation was Blake and Ryan's good friend Taylor Swift — who fans also speculated could appear in the movie as Dazzler, a singing superhero.

A final trailer, released on Friday, showcased another look at Lady Deadpool, but her masked face did not bring fans any nearer to figuring out who might be playing the role.

Now, as Deadpool & Wolverine’s release edges closer, Ryan is struggling to avoid discussions about the potential cameos in store. And during the star’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon wasted no time before asking the big questions.

“There’s rumors all about all these insane cameos that may or may not be in the movie. I know you have a good poker face, but I’ve seen a few names floating around,” Jimmy said as he not-so-discreetly mumbled “Taylor Swift.”

Mocking anger, Ryan replied, “Who hurt you?!” before weighing in on the rumors about a potential Taylor cameo.

Though he kept things light, Ryan clarified “once and for all” during an interview with E! News that Taylor is “not in this film” — but that doesn’t mean fans shouldn’t hold out hope for other exciting appearances in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Talking to Jimmy, Ryan confirmed there are “surprises.”
