Lady Gaga Is Being Praised For Racing To Help A Photographer Who Fell While She Was Walking The Red Carpet

Before the first award was handed out tonight at the Oscars, Lady Gaga won the unofficial award for "sweetest celebrity in the whole world" for literally just being her.

When, unfortunately, one of the photographers behind her took a bit of a tumble. In a carpet full of people who didn't quite know what to do, she reacted instantly.

I'm gonna be honest — I feel like I'd expect most celebrities to politely look shocked from where they were already standing, or maybe even send someone else to help. But Lady Gaga ran over herself to make sure he was OK, and even helped him up.

As a generally anxious person who would've wanted the ~champagne~ (it's no longer red?? confusing) carpet to swallow me whole if I fell in front thousands of people, this definitely would've taken my whole experience from "yiiiiiikes" to "aww!"

Fans online and photographers on the carpet were quick to applaud her for her kindness and quick thinking:
