Crisantos Pop Chub hit his head during an alleged fight with his brother, two weeks later he died.
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — A man is facing murder charges after he allegedly pushed his brother during an argument, causing him to hit his head and die.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, the deadly argument happened on Aug. 16. Officers were called to the 500 block of Shady Glen Drive around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a fight. Upon arrival, police found two men lying on the ground. One of the men was unconscious when the pair was taken to an area hospital.
One of the men, later identified as 45-year-old Crisantos Pop Chub, died from his injuries two weeks later.
Investigators say 32-year-old Rene Pop Chub was arguing with his brother, Crisantos Pop Chub, when he shoved him to the ground, causing him to fall and hit his head. Police report that Rene Pop Chub was also injured in the fight but is expected to survive.
Rene Pop Chub was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He remains in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
