There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — All lanes of the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway in Maryland have been shut down due to a crash. Traffic is currently being diverted to northbound I-270.
At 7:10 p.m., troopers of the Rockville Barrack responded to the collision on the Outer Loop of I-495 prior to Bradley Boulevard.
Investigators claim the crash involved two tractor-trailers that jackknifed and blocked all lanes of traffic.
Chart and Fireboard personnel are currently on scene.
Investigators say the fuel tanks of the trucks have been compromised and fireboard personnel will work to syphon the remaining fuel.
The Maryland State Highway Administration has requested a sand truck in this incident.
Troopers say heavy duty tow trucks are on scene assisting with the incident.
Traffic from Maryland Route 187 to I495 outer loop will be stopped during clean-up operations.
There were no reported injuries as a result of this collision.
The Maryland Department of Environment is enroute to assess the fuel spill.
