CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — Prince George's County Police arrested two men Tuesday in connection to a fatal shooting at a tire shop in Capitol Heights.

Police attribute the arrest to a tip received from the Prince George's County Crime Solvers. The suspects were identified from surveillance video released by police back in September. The two men, Ronnell Hardy, 43, and Avery Eccles, 42, were charged in connection with the murder of Anthony Okoye, 41.

On Sept. 14 officers responded to a welfare check in the 1200 block of Marblewood Ave at 6:30 a.m. When officers arrived they found Okoye with gunshot wounds.

First responders took him to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later. During an investigation, officers discovered that Hardy and Eccles were customers at a tire shop, where Okoye worked. The three had a disagreement over tire pricing. At some point, Hardy and Eccles shot Okyoe and left.

Hardy and Eccles are being charged with first and second-degree murder.
