Perhaps no one knows the importance of portable gaming as much as a world-touring artist whose choice of relaxation is delving into the world of gameplay.
That’s why Post Malone, currently on the tail end of his “If Ya’ll Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying” tour, teamed up with Backbone to create a limited-edition version of their popular smartphone gaming controllers. Like the brand’s current lineup of controllers, the new release, which officially launches on the Backbone website on June 25, transforms any iPhone or Android device into a full-fledged gaming console.
“Backbone found the perfect solution to bring gaming on the road,” Malone said in a statement. “My schedule makes it difficult to game from home as much as I want. Grateful to collaborate with them on this release.”
Only a limited number of Backbone One – Post Malone Limited Edition controllers will be sold globally. They are compatible with iPhone 15 and Android devices with a USB-C connection, with the ability to play any game or service that supports controllers, including Apple Arcade, Google Play Store, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or even stream from your Xbox, PlayStation or PC.
The limited-edition features an aluminum D-pad and ABXY buttons, a limited-edition number, special packaging and glow-in- the-dark Post Malone logos.
All Backbone One USB-C 2nd Gen controllers include magnetic adapters, allowing for even better phone fit and support for many phone cases. The reshaped D-pad enhances responsiveness, resulting in superior feel and control across all gameplay genres. And combined with the Backbone app – which puts all of gaming in one place – it promises to be their most accessible gaming experience ever.
