Roads closed in Alexandria due to fire on Labor Day

At this time, it is unclear if any residents will be displaced due to this fire. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Crews in Alexandria are working to extinguish a fire in an apartment building Monday afternoon. 

Very few details have been released at this time, here is what we do know. The fire was in the 400 block of North Armistead Street. Crews have extinguished the fire, but smoke caused a building evacuation.

North Armistead is closed between Quantrell and Beauregard. Several people are being treated for minor injuries. 

At this time, it is unclear if any residents will be displaced due to the fire. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
