Here’s something to cheer aboot: Bravo‘s next season of “Top Chef” will be set in Canada.

The news was announced by host Kristen Kish and judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons in a video posted to the official “Top Chef” social channels Thursday. “Time to turn your taste buds up… way up North!” the caption read. “The next season of #TopChef is going to be a feast for the senses in Canada, and so much more than maple syrup and poutine.”

The Great North season is slated to air in 2025 on Bravo.

“’Top Chef’ has a legacy of shining the brightest spotlights on unexpected culinary destinations, which is why we’re excited to bring season 22 to Canada,” Destination Canada senior vice president of marketing strategy and chief marketing officer Gloria Loree said. “Canada’s culinary identity is rooted in our vast geography, the rhythm of our seasons, and the culture and traditions of our communities; yes that includes maple syrup and so much more. We’re excited to see it unfold through the judges, cheftestants’ challenges and experiences, and surprise viewers along the way.”

The show’s Wisconsin-set Season 21 — which marked Kish’s first round as host following the exit of longtime “Top Chef” staple Padma Lakshmi — just concluded with its June 19 finale. Chef Danny Garcia was named the winner after an epic culinary battle with runner-ups Dan Jacobs and Savannah Miller.

In typical “Top Chef” fashion, the finale did not take place in the season’s main setting, but in a first for the show, the cheftestants were relocated to a cruise ship to compete in the final episode, coming aboard a Holland America ship in Curaçao.
