Rob "Rabbit" Pitts, who starred in the Netflix series Tex Mex Motors, has died after a battle with stomach cancer.
UNITED STATES, — A Netflix and social media star has died after a battle with stomach cancer, according to multiple reports.
Rob "Rabbit" Pitts has died at the age of 45, according to a comment from his videographer on his YouTube channel.
"Hey everyone, this is Jeff (Rob's Videographer). I am with him now in Hospice. He just passed at 21:45 on 08/25/2024. He will be missed and we will never forget him!"
Additionally, a goodbye video was posted on Pitts' YouTube page:
Several people went to the comments on Pitts' YouTube pages to share tributes after his passing.
"This is so heartbreaking... RIP to Rob 'Rabbit' Pitts, an absolute legend in the automotive community," one commenter wrote.
Pitts gained fame in recent years for viral clips on social media, as well as the Netflix series, Tex Mex Motors, which followed Pitts and fellow car scout Scooter Carrera travel along the U.S.-Mexico border to find vintage cars to restore and resell.
The show premiered on Netflix in June 2023, with a season 2 not yet released.
